Easy Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Delicious desserts don't have to be hard! This Easy Pineapple Upside Down Cake is the perfect combination of simple and stunning.

Ingredients:
Cooking spray or butter, lightly melted
1/2 pineapple, sliced into rings
or 1/2 can of sliced pineapple, patted dry
Maraschino cherries
1 box yellow cake mix

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Lightly grease pan with cooking spray or butter. Sprinkle brown sugar over the bottom of the pan, then place sliced pineapple and maraschino cherries on top of the brown sugar.
  3. Mix cake mix according to instructions on the box. Pour over the topping ingredients and bake according to cake mix instructions.
  4. Test for doneness, a knife or toothpick stuck into the cake should come out clean.
  5. Immediately flip onto a serving platter and remove the pan carefully so none of the toppings stays in the pan.
